The OSHA 30-hour construction courses (English only) are intended to provide workers who have safety responsibilities as part of their job duties with a greater understanding of hazards and requirements involved on the construction jobsite. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.

  • Promotes safety culture through peer training;
  • Training is intended to be participatory, using hands-on activities;

  • Outreach training content includes hazard recognition and avoidance, workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint; it emphasizes the value of safety and health to workers, including young workers.
  • In order to attend, the student must understand and communicate in the language of the course.

  • Please allow time to park in parking lot, see attached map.
  • TECQ exits were changed by TXDOT a few months ago. 
  • If you are coming northbound, you still want to exit at Techridge/Yager Lane and make a left over the freeway. 
  • If you are coming southbound, you need to exit at Parmer, take the Parmer Lane bypass, and go through the light at Yager before taking a right into TCEQ.
