Summary:

The OSHA 30-hour construction courses (English only) are intended to provide workers who have safety responsibilities as part of their job duties with a greater understanding of hazards and requirements involved on the construction jobsite. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.

  • Promotes safety culture through peer training;
  • Training is intended to be participatory, using hands-on activities;

  • Outreach training content includes hazard recognition and avoidance, workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint; it emphasizes the value of safety and health to workers, including young workers.
  • In order to attend, the student must understand and communicate in the language of the course.

For individuals, who want to use Garage B for free parking, visitors must park on the top level of Garage B.

We will need the vehicle information (Vehicle owner & vehicle plates).

You will need to email safetytraining@tdi.texas.gov, five days in advance of the first day of class.

Workplace Safety then will submit the information to DPS they will issue a special parking permit and then we will send you an email with the permit to put on the dash of your car so you are placed on a do not ticket or tow list.

IF you do not submit the information, you will be responsible for your own parking.
